Con Law for the Resistance

The Trump Administration presents unique challenges to our constitutional rights. I will spend the evening presenting on two of our most important constitutional rights: freedom of speech under the First Amendment and right to privacy under the Fourth Amendment.

Specifically, we will focus on what constitutes constitutionally protected speech and when it is necessary to obtain a permit to protest. We will also focus on the right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures.

My presentation will provide a mix of theory and history. We’ll discuss the origin of these rights in our Constitution as well as their real life application in today’s world.

This is the first of many lessons on the US Constitution. Don’t worry. We will cover it all, including every single one of our rights in the Bill of Rights. I hope to see many of you there. And please stay tuned for more event announcements in the coming days/weeks. Best, Danny
